Ms. Hoyt has over 30 years of broad-based HR experience with publicly traded Fortune 500 and 100 companies, privately held union and non-union organizations, and not-for-profit entities, and over twelve years as an HR executive for various industries. From the building trades to print media, automotive to banking, and business services to education, Ms. Hoyt’s experience expands across multiple industries. Ms. Hoyt is especially adept at nimbly migrating across various platforms and organizational settings to assess needs and implement purposeful change for elevating workforce performance and effectiveness.
Ms. Hoyt also is also a part-time college professor and has taught at several for-profit and not-for-profit schools. In the last seventeen years she has regularly taught courses at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly), teaching in their School of Business. She was also commissioned to teach at Chaffey College’s In-Tech Center, specifically designed to support trades and manufacturing industries. She engages adult learners in an experiential discovery environment, bridging theory to practice in the basics of social workforce dynamics and leadership.
Ms. Hoyt holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University. As a result of Ms. Hoyt’s research, she developed a deeper understanding of the Millennial and Gen Z generations, including how to effectively merge multi-generations into a synergistic, transformative, and collaborative workforce.
Agathon Advisors LLC was established by Ms. Hoyt in 2008 to help small to mid-sized organizations with their human resources needs and retains a consistent client base spanning many states of the U.S. Most services can be done remotely. During the pandemic, she has been instrumental in building re-entry business plans for her clients.
Ms. Hoyt is also an accomplished musician, composer, and as part owner of Sussman-Hoyt Productions, she helps bring Hollywood film and music production to Riverside County by offering affordable options to indie filmmakers and extending alternative choices for Hollywood producers in search of unique filming locations. In conjunction with her business partner, they provide a professionally engineered recording studio, which allows for musicians to record and mix their music as well as offer a green screen room for recording live podcasts and webcasts.
In her spare time, Ms. Hoyt is also a seasoned public speaker, periodically commissioned to share with various civic organizations the trending issues relating to leadership, ethics, communication, persuasion, decision making, and emotional intelligence.
